The School is fortunate to have a dedicated Higher Education Center with a full-time adviser.

The center is well-resourced with up-to-date literature, information on higher education opportunities and preparation, and university prospectuses. The role of the Higher Education Adviser is to provide students with support as they make their future university choices.

Students are supported by the Higher Education Department from making their IB subject choices in Year 11 through to post-application support at the end of Year 13. There is an excellent programme of talks and presentations and a clear framework of guidance for all Year 12 and 13 students, as well as tailored to meet the needs of the individual. We recognise the role and importance of providing information, advice and guidance to parents too.

The School has a long history of assisting students in achieving their full potential and ambitions. Alumni of the School have attended prestigious universities in the UK, Italy and around the world.  Our aims are to

  • Enhance the life chances of each student
  • Provide high quality information, advice and guidance on universities and further education
  • Secure the best possible offers for the best courses at some of the best universities in the world

The Friends of BSM, our parents’ group, helps to organise an annual Careers Fair.  Over 50 professionals representing a wide range of careers and recruited from our parent and alumni bodies, give expert advice to our students from Years 10 to 13.

Our Year 10 students then start preparing for their two day work experience placement in the Summer Term. If you might be able to offer Work Experience opportunities to our students or alumni.
